The capital city court has declared the expulsion from the country of Fadi Alwan, a 49-year-old Palestinian accused of killing his 22-year-old daughter, Rayyan Alwai, an incident that occurred in February 2025 in Tirana, reports Top Channel's Anila Hoxha. The decision was made after the refusal of Lebanese justice to extradite to Albania the suspected perpetrator, who was arrested in that state on April 23, 2025. Through a note dated September 18, 2025, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs informed that the Republic of Lebanon has refused the extradition to Albania of the 49-year-old Alwai. Since the "arrest in prison" measure of Albanian justice cannot be executed, the court has declared his escape.
