The High Court upheld the life sentence for Redjan Rraja, found guilty of the murder of Andi Maloku, the attempted murder of prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, and the attempted murder of Aleksandër Laho, also known as Pëllumbu Muharremi.

As reported by journalist Anila Hoxha, the Criminal College of the High Court also upheld the 35-year prison sentence for Arjol Halilaj, accused in the same case. The High Court stated that it considers the appeals of the two defendants to be unfounded and therefore upholds the June 4, 2024 decision of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime. The ruling was announced by the criminal panel composed of Sokol Binaj, Ilir Panda, and Sandër Simoni.

The two defendants had appealed to the High Court after being found guilty in the second instance as well.
