It was a pleasure to be here today with representatives from the German Ministry, the German Embassy, and representatives from KfW, discussing the work and progress of this very important substation for Tirana's energy security. We are at the Tirana 3 substation, which includes the construction of a new substation in a green area that previously had no substation, with three 110kV lines emerging from here and connecting to the Traktor substation, the Selita substation, and the Farka substation.

This investment is crucial for Tirana's energy security as it creates a ring connection with other parts of Tirana's substations and represents a highly successful collaboration with KfW. In fact, in the continuation of investments and excellent cooperation with the Transmission System Operator, including other interconnection lines such as the one between Albania and North Macedonia, about 86% of the work on the Albanian side has been completed. We also have other projects with this important German bank related to the digitalization of the Transmission System Operator and the ring section of Tirana regarding transmission lines. With this bank, another very important element for Tirana's energy security is the construction of the new Kamza substation, which again provides a substantial supply security for the city of Tirana.

Why is this investment important? All the investments we are making for the city of Tirana are essential because Tirana is the city with the highest pace of construction and investments, and we must respond with energy security and high-quality supply. It is enough to mention some very important investments we are making in Tirana, such as the Qendra substation, which will be a new underground substation in the city center, the Zogu i Zi substation, and a new substation in Kinostudio. Additionally, there are investments being made by the Transmission System Operator regarding the Tirana 1 line, Zogu i Zi, and all other investments in transmission and distribution.

All these investments are very important as they transform Tirana into a city with very high energy security, reduce losses, and minimize any downtime due to faults or any kind of inconvenience we might cause to citizens.

All these investments are in direct line with all the investments we are making in Albania, not only in terms of reducing losses but also investments in tourist areas, coastal regions, starting from the Adriatic coast to the Ionian coast, as well as significant investments we are making in the Albanian Alps and in every city where we have faced issues in the past.

An important thank you once again to our German partner KfW for all the investment and excellent cooperation in the energy sector.
