Socialist Elisa Spiropali has extended Easter greetings to Orthodox believers in a Facebook post, but with a coded message. Alongside the wishes for the faithful, she emphasized the need for less hatred, slander, and division in society. "Christ is risen! From the dark promise of sacrifice, to the great Sunday of Easter, with His resurrection, hope awakens for the suffering, the oppressed, the lonely, the sick, the isolated, comfort for all that comes from the belief that there is no night without dawn, no matter how long. For every suffering there is relief, for every injustice there is reward, for every sick ego there is a price. In this Orthodox Easter Vigil, for the extraordinary people of our country, I wish for as little slander, disagreement, sorrow, malice, hatred, and as much understanding, freedom, prosperity, work, and abundance as possible. Let us love each other more and treat our common land with more care. Happy, blessed Easter!" her post says.
