In Pereira, Albanian citizen Florind Rama, also known as Florin Terziu, was arrested. He had been declared internationally wanted by Interpol for a serious criminal incident that occurred in 2022 in Marbella.
According to reports from El Tiempo, his capture followed an investigative operation lasting about a month. Colombian authorities monitored his movements in various areas of the city, where he frequently changed vehicles and routines to avoid identification. This suspicious activity drew the attention of intelligence structures.
At the moment of his detention, he attempted to present himself as a German citizen, but investigators had accurate data on his identity and his criminal past in Europe. According to sources, he used various travel documents and had moved through several countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Balkan nations.
Investigations link him to criminal networks operating in the Costa del Sol area, one of the most well-known hubs for drug trafficking activity in Europe. The case for which he is wanted is connected to a crime that occurred in June 2022, where a Serbian citizen was found murdered in a residential area of Marbella, showing signs of torture and gunshot wounds.
According to investigative files, the victim had ties to drug trafficking networks and is suspected of having cooperated with authorities in Germany, which may have made him a target. Meanwhile, Rama's name is mentioned in connection with criminal structures of Balkan origin, with reach into several European countries.
The operation for his arrest was carried out in collaboration between Colombian authorities, Europol, and American security agencies. Currently, he is expected to face extradition procedures to Europe, while investigations continue to fully uncover his activities and possible links to international drug trafficking networks.
