Actor Ilir Shkurti was laid to rest today by his family, friends, and colleagues. The actor from Pogradec passed away one day earlier at the age of 68. He will be remembered for his talent, humor, and the energy he brought to the theater, the Pogradec Estrada, and Albanian cinema. Shkurti also participated in several Albanian film productions, including the movies "The Small Siege," "The Rails," "The Colors of Age," "Temporary Shine," and "Who Dies Standing," becoming part of the generation of artists who contributed to the films of the Albanian Kinostudio period. His passing is a great loss to the community, but his memory will always remain alive in the hearts of all who knew and appreciated him for what he contributed to the artistic life of Pogradec.
