Members of the Democratic Party left the parliament hall yesterday shortly before a minute of silence was held for the passing of academician Rexhep Qosja. The incident was triggered by the expulsion of Democrat Luciano Boรงi from the hall after he blocked the parliament podium, demanding to speak out of order.
PS MP Ardit Bido stated that after leaving the hall, PD members began arguing among themselves outside, demanding accountability from the group leader for abandoning the session. Bido considers this act a total lack of respect for the figure of Rexhep Qosja.
"I cannot refrain from commenting on an ugly act that occurred a short while ago, where opposition colleagues left the hall, clearly unsure of why they were leaving. Those who happened to be outside saw them arguing, with most demanding explanations from the parliamentary group leaders as to why they left the hall in that manner. This happened just minutes before we were to stand and observe a minute of silence for one of the highest figures of the Albanian nation, such as Rexhep Qosja," Bido said, among other things.
