Edmond Llabani, who was appointed as the director of Durrës Prison on January 15 following the dismissal of director Indrit Cërrlojm due to the escape of Altin Ndoci, passed away today. Llabani suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on January 19 and underwent surgery in the Neurosurgery department at QSUT. A month later, at the request of his family, he was transferred to Italy for more specialized treatment. Two days ago, his wife pleaded for her life partner and father of their three angels to pull through. Unfortunately, he could not be saved. "My dear soul, you must pull through for us because you would never want to leave us alone… We don’t know how to do anything without you, and we don’t want life without you," she wrote. Before being appointed to lead Durrës Prison, Llabani was the director of Peqin Prison.
