The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has imposed the measure of "arrest with imprisonment" for Aleks Ndreka, known as "Leksi i Druve." GJKKO confirmed the security measure just two days after his extradition from Italy.
Ndreka had been declared internationally wanted as part of the "Metamorphosis" case, suspected of facilitating the conditions for the murder of three citizens in 2017.
Aleks Ndreka is considered a prominent figure in the criminal world, primarily in the areas of Lezhë and Shkodër. He was declared wanted as part of the "Metamorphosis" operation, and the measure of "arrest with imprisonment" had previously been issued against him in absentia.
Also known as "Leksi i Druve," Ndreka has had intense clashes with former Socialist Party deputy, Arben Ndoka. According to the investigative file of SPAK, there was also an attempt to eliminate him with a drone. It is suspected that the former deputy sought Ndreka's elimination, believing him to be involved in the murder of his brother.
