A serious incident has shocked public opinion in Turkey, where a woman, mother of four children, was reportedly killed by a so-called "family council" decision. According to investigations, the case came to light after several years, when authorities began verifying her disappearance and discovered there was no official trace of her for a long period.
Following an extensive investigation, during which dozens of people were questioned, police arrested 26 suspects in several cities, with some of them admitting that the murder was carried out by family decision. The prosecution has brought serious charges, including honor-motivated murder, incitement, and complicity in crime, while life imprisonment has been sought for some of the suspects.
The details of the case have further shocked, as analyses revealed that three of the victim's four children were not fathered by her husband, but by his brother, while the biological connection of the fourth child to either of them has not been confirmed. It is suspected that the victim was killed and her body subsequently disappeared, as authorities continue investigations to fully uncover the incident.
