The murder of Sibela Abedini continues to resurface in public attention following recent statements from her relatives.

During an interview on the show "Me Zemër të Hapur" on News24, the 27-year-old victim's aunt made serious accusations, implicating the victim's mother and sister in the incident.

She expressed that she would soon come to Albania to give further statements, while claiming that the sister and mother had a role in what happened. According to her, the victim had revealed that one of them had a connection with a person involved in the event.

The aunt added that the incident might have occurred "in a moment of high tension" and was not premeditated, claiming that in her final moments, the 27-year-old had called the police to ask for help. She excluded another person previously mentioned in connection with the case from involvement.

On the other hand, the victim's sister, Renata Abedini, reacted by categorically denying these accusations.

"Elona has said that my mom, my brother, and I killed Sibela, then we should be behind bars. How does she know that we killed her? I have children of my own, Sibela was my sister, how could we do such a thing. The aunt, who doesn't even deserve to be called that, when she appears on social media says that my sister's nephew and niece killed Sibela, she should have some compassion. Previously, she didn't get along with my mother, and she might have said everything out of spite. But we are not so cruel as to do such a thing to our own sister. The aunt told Sibela, come to Italy so your other aunt can find you, she separated her from her husband. My sister is buried and she immediately left for Italy, why didn't she speak directly to the police?" she said.

"My mother doesn't know Altin Çoku at all. We don't even know where she got his number from to tell him she needed someone to help with housework because her wife is sick, since he didn't even have a wife."
