A tragic incident occurred overnight between Saturday and Sunday in Massa, Italy, where a 47-year-old man lost his life following a violent assault.
According to media reports, the victim was attacked by four or five unidentified individuals and fell, hitting his head and suffering cardiac arrest. Doctors arrived immediately and performed resuscitation maneuvers but were unable to save him. Local authorities and carabinieri have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the event.
Preliminary information indicates the incident happened around 1:00 a.m., while the victim was at a family restaurant with his son and his partner. A small group of teenagers, aged 16–18, were throwing bottles at a window and clashed with the victim and his brother-in-law, who intervened to stop their actions.
The situation escalated, and the victim fell, striking his head and losing his life. His brother-in-law was taken to the hospital after also being assaulted, while the 11-year-old son, shaken by the event, received medical attention. The attackers fled immediately after the incident and are currently being sought by the police.
