The Special Prosecution Against Organized Crime and Corruption (SPAK) is conducting another operation against Call Centers in Tirana. The operation is reported to be taking place in the area near the "Sami Frashëri" school. It is reported that the operation was carried out in cooperation with French authorities, while the owners of these businesses have been declared wanted.
During the action, a police officer, an employee at the No. 1 police station in the capital, was accompanied. His phone was taken, and a search was conducted at his residence. During the search, many computers, phones, documents with operator data, as well as data related to foreign victims who have fallen prey to scams were found.
The SPAK operation comes a few days after the State Police struck another scam network through Call Centers, which had defrauded European citizens of 50 million euros. 10 people were handcuffed, while 4 were declared wanted.
