Tensions between the U.S. and Iran are escalating further following strong warnings from Tehran about a potential response if its ports are targeted. The Iranian armed forces have reacted to the proposed U.S. plan to blockade ports, labeling it as an illegal and dangerous action. According to them, such interference would have widespread consequences across the entire region. In a statement published by the state media IRIB, Iran makes it clear that it will continue to maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important routes for global oil transportation. It is also warned that ships considered linked to adversaries will not be allowed to pass through its waters. Tehran's message extends to other Gulf countries, implying that the situation could escalate rapidly. According to Iranian authorities, if their ports are struck, the risk would spread throughout the region, affecting the ports of other countries as well.
