Tehran has described the American blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz as a violation of the ceasefire by the United States. "The so-called American blockade of Iranian ports or coastline is not only a violation of the ceasefire mediated by Pakistan, but is also illegal and criminal," responded Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqei to a post on social media platform 'X' by President Donald Trump, who accused Iran of violating the ceasefire by targeting ships in the Strait of Hormuz. "Furthermore, by intentionally causing collective punishment to the Iranian people, the blockade constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity," concluded the Iranian spokesman.
