Tensions in the Middle East have significantly escalated, as the transit of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz has been suspended following Israeli attacks on Lebanon, according to Iranian media reports.

According to the Fars News Agency, which is linked to the Revolutionary Guard, some vessels have managed to carry out partial passages, but the situation in the area remains unstable and poses a high risk of escalation.

Meanwhile, Axios cites White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, who stated that Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran.

Amid this tense climate, President Donald Trump has decided to extend the deadline of the ultimatum to Iran by two weeks. He emphasized that the cessation of bombings would depend on Tehran's full acceptance of the immediate and secure opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Authorities in Tehran have confirmed their acceptance of the American proposal, describing this development as a "humiliating retreat."

On the other hand, Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue with high intensity. It is reported that around 160 bombs exploded within just ten minutes, with targets including an Italian vehicle belonging to the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission.
