"The security situation is absolutely secure, there is no reason to be alarmed," stated Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha in Parliament, regarding the declaration made a day earlier by the U.S. Embassy about possible attacks from Iran in Albania. "I appreciate the concern of MP Shehu, these are important matters. These are issues that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and not only, deals with in a special manner. I assure everyone in the chamber, and outside as well, we follow the statements of our partners very closely, we are in contact with them here and in Washington, we are in contact with NATO; discussions are held in various forums, but what I want to say is that the assessment we have today, following all events, is that there is absolutely no reason to be alarmed. The security situation is absolutely secure. There was a communication yesterday from the Prime Minister's Office, we must adhere to it, and for any new developments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other ministries will inform in the proper manner, of course while being in contact with the Prime Minister, the government, and the President," said Hoxha.
