The Deputy Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Klodiana Spahiu, conducted an official visit to Italy, where she stopped in Hora e Arbëreshëvet, one of the most important centers of the Arbëresh community. During her stay, Spahiu held a special meeting with the mayor, Rosario Petta, where they discussed strengthening cooperation and preserving cultural ties between Albania and the Arbëresh community in Italy. Following the visit, she participated in the festive Easter ceremonies, where dozens of Arbëresh and compatriots from various countries gathered to celebrate this holy day. The festive atmosphere was characterized by highlighting traditions preserved over centuries, notably the use of the Albanian language and special religious rites. In her speech, Spahiu emphasized the importance of these celebrations as a bridge connecting generations and as a living testament to Albanian identity beyond borders. She stressed that the Arbëresh community remains a valuable cultural treasure, where tradition, faith, and the Albanian language continue to live on and be passed down through generations. The visit to Hora e Arbëreshëvet and participation in the Easter celebrations were described as a significant moment for strengthening spiritual and cultural ties, drawing attention back to roots and national belonging.
