Kreshnik Mujeci and his wife, Gentjana Mujeci, were executed today in a gun attack in Lezhë while traveling in their vehicle. Just one day earlier, the parents of four children had participated in the St. Mark's festivities together with residents of the village of Koljakaj. As every year for the past four years, Mujeci had organized the traditional celebration near the cross placed on the mountain of the area, gathering the entire community in an atmosphere of joy and harmony. According to preliminary data, the couple was traveling in an "Audi Q7" vehicle when they were shot with a hail of bullets by still unidentified individuals. Sources from the scene indicate that more than 30 bullets were fired at the vehicle, causing the immediate death of both spouses. The incident occurred around 14:50, while the perpetrators fled the crime scene without leaving a trace. So far, no arrests have been made, while the police have set up checkpoints and are continuing searches in the area. It is reported that specialists from the Serious Crimes sector have urgently arrived from Tirana and are working in cooperation with the local police to fully clarify the attack.
