Caitlyn Jenner has made a strong statement that has attracted international media attention. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, she claims that her late friend Sophia Hutchins owed her a significant amount of money before her passing.
According to these documents, Hutchins had accumulated approximately $439,000 in unpaid expenses. These included credit card payments, cash withdrawals, online purchases, as well as a portion of shared legal fees.
The largest part of the amount, over $273,000, was related to expenses made through credit cards for purchases on various online platforms. Meanwhile, over $133,000 was linked to fees for lawyers that both parties had jointly engaged.
Additionally, Jenner claims there were also about $16,000 in debit card expenses and nearly $7,000 in cash withdrawals that Hutchins had made over time.
According to her, Hutchins had authorized access to her cards for work reasons, but any personal expenses were supposed to be reimbursed. Jenner emphasizes that this never happened.
She filed the legal claim in November 2025, while in March 2026, Hutchins' estate accepted the claim for the full amount demanded.
The event takes on an even more dramatic dimension due to the tragic death of Sophia Hutchins in July 2025. She lost her life after an accident with an ATV near Jenner's home in Malibu, when she collided with a moving vehicle and fell into a ditch.
