Mexican authorities have rescued a miner who had been trapped for nearly 14 days following a collapse at a mine in the northern state of Sinaloa. The incident occurred on March 25 at the El Rosario mine, where the structure was destroyed and a dam burst, causing the gallery to flood. Of the 25 miners present at the time of the accident, 21 managed to escape immediately. Three others remained trapped underground. According to reports, one of them was rescued earlier from a depth of about 300 meters, while another is still missing and one was found deceased, as confirmed by President Claudia Sheinbaum. The recently rescued miner, identified as Francisco Zapata Nรกjera, was found by emergency teams after multiple dives into the flooded sections of the mine. Published footage shows the moment he was located in water up to his waist, tired but conscious. Rescue teams provided him with food, water, and oxygen before extracting him from the mine entrance a day later. According to authorities, he only showed signs of dehydration and was taken to the hospital for further treatment and observation.
