The increase in fuel prices has been reflected in intercity transport fares, burdening citizens' wallets. On the Korçë-Tiranë route, passengers are already paying more for the same service. The round-trip ticket has seen an increase of 200 lek, and now instead of 1400, passengers must pay 1600 lek—a change that operators say was inevitable due to rising fuel costs. Meanwhile, citizens see this as an additional burden, especially for those who travel frequently for work, study, or health reasons. The continuous price increases are significantly affecting their daily lives. If the situation with fuel prices does not stabilize, transport fares are expected to remain high, making intercity travel increasingly expensive.
