The Chairman of Parliament Niko Peleshi responded to Klevis Balliu regarding the rejection of the Democratic Party's request for an interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama concerning the decision-making of the National Council for Territory and Water. โ€œYou denied the first interpellation with the prime minister with a justification that we refer to media sources, whereas I refer to SPAK, INSTAT, etcโ€ฆ. He does not come, or delegates it to someone else, we have only heard him speak about Diella,โ€ stated Klevis Balliu. Meanwhile, the head of Parliament clarified to the PD deputy that an interpellation with the prime minister is not required for media articles and not a concrete decision by the Council of Ministers. โ€œI inform you that regarding the return of the request for interpellation with the prime minister, after reviewing the request it is found that it cannot be accepted. The interpellation relates to concrete stances and decisions taken by the government, and the presented request is based on reports, media articles, other external sources and does not identify a direct act of the Council of Ministers. I want to emphasize that the prime minister cannot be called to respond to the content of articles and for this reason it is not accepted,โ€ said Peleshi.
