A heavy tragedy occurred in Argentina, where a young couple lost their lives after their car was caught in floods during a severe storm. Mariano Robles, 28, and Solana Albornoz, 32, were returning home to their children after attending a wedding in Tafí Viejo. Due to the extreme weather, they pulled over to wait for the storm to subside.
They had informed the babysitter that they would wait in the car until conditions improved, but this was their last contact. A few hours later, their car was found overturned in a drainage canal, where it is suspected to have been swept away by a sudden flood.
The scene was heartbreaking, as their bodies were found inside the vehicle embracing each other in their final moments. The couple leaves behind two young children, a five-year-old and an infant only nine months old, who were waiting at home. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, while the powerful storm has also caused other casualties in the region.
