Continuing cooperation with international partners for the localization, capture, and extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted. Following cooperation with partners for the exchange of information on the location, capture, and arrest for the purpose of extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted, it has been made possible to locate, capture, and arrest in Spain the citizen Adrian Ogiçi, 40 years old, resident in Sarandë. This citizen has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for committing the criminal acts "Kidnapping" and "Drug Trafficking," carried out in collaboration. The Serious Crimes Court found two citizens guilty, sentencing them to a total of 39 years in prison for the kidnapping and hostage-taking of Ridvan Lamaj, whose fate has been unknown since 2015. Viktor Islami is the only defendant held in pre-trial detention for the kidnapping, but throughout 18 court sessions, he has claimed not to know the missing 37-year-old. Islami received a 19-year sentence, while the suspect as his accomplice Adrian Ogiçi was sentenced to 20 years. However, despite the publication of his photo on Interpol's page, justice continues to be in search of Ogiçi. Ridvan Lamaj, father of two children, was kidnapped on June 15, 2015, in the city of Sarandë. The prosecution suspects that his kidnapping occurred due to disruptions in drug deals, while the two accused are recorded in the field of narcotics. According to the prosecutor's office, suspicions speak of Lamaj's activity as a drug courier, and after the disappearance of a shipment of hashish, the kidnappers suspected the 37-year-old. Despite the appeal of Ridvan Lamaj's relatives and intensive investigations, the authorities have not been able to discover what happened to Lamaj after the kidnapping in the city center.
