Singer and songwriter D4vd has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a 14-year-old girl was discovered in his vehicle. The 21-year-old artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, had been under investigation for months following the shocking discovery of Celeste Rivas Hernandez's remains in September. He was handcuffed and escorted from his Hollywood Hills residence by several armed officers.
According to a neighbor, police used a loudspeaker to call for his surrender before he exited the home. He is currently being held without bail in Los Angeles. A senior police official stated that authorities had an arrest warrant based on sufficient evidence and had been tracking his movements prior to the intervention.
A Tesla vehicle registered in the artist's name was found abandoned at a towing yard last year. Employees reported a strong odor, which led to police inspecting the car.
Inside, on September 8, the decomposed remains of the girl were discovered. According to court documents, investigators also found body parts separated into individual bags. The cause of the girl's death remains unclear. She had been reported missing since April 2024, when she was just 13 years old, after going out to watch a movie.
