American President Donald Trump has once again attacked NATO in a post on Truth Social, following the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron stating that the United Kingdom and France would lead a defensive military mission to protect ships, Trump has dismissed any offer of help from his NATO allies.

"Now that the Strait of Hormuz situation is over, I received a call from NATO asking if we would need help. I TOLD THEM TO STAY AWAY. They were useless when needed, they are a 'Paper Tiger'!" wrote the president.

Recall that European NATO countries have consistently refused Trump's call for the alliance to assist in the forced opening of the strait, which Iran closed following the start of the American attack. The president previously warned that NATO would face a "very bad future" if they did not support U.S. efforts.
