A shocking incident has come to light in France, where a 9-year-old boy was kept isolated for over a year in a van by his father. The child was found on April 6 in Hagenbach, in northeastern France, naked, malnourished, and unable to walk, having spent months in inhumane conditions.

According to authorities, the boy was discovered after a neighbor reported hearing children's voices from the vehicle. When police intervened, they found him lying in a fetal position, covered with a blanket over debris and near human waste. Inside the van, he had only a few clothes and empty bottles for personal needs.

In his testimony to investigators, the child blamed his stepmother, calling her "my biggest enemy" and "an evil woman." According to him, she sought to remove him from their lives and send him to a psychiatric hospital, while the father decided to lock him in the van to hide him. The 43-year-old father has admitted to the crime, while the 37-year-old stepmother denies any involvement. The investigation continues, as the case has caused deep shock in French public opinion.
