Prime Minister Edi Rama criticized the opposition during the PS Assembly in Dibër, referring to their statements. "I cannot 'swallow' the fact that they cannot defeat us, and this drives them to blindness. It drives them to things that are very difficult, if not impossible, to understand how a public figure can degrade to the point of attacking their own country—not us, but their own country. And I tell you, it happens to me, and I don't know what to say, but I feel bad, even though it’s not directed at me or you, when foreign friends ask me: 'How is it possible? How is it possible that people representing the Albanian people come from Albania, even if they are on the other side, and leave nothing unsaid, and don’t stop asking us to block Albania?'"
"There have been severe situations here too, right next to you. North Macedonia, when it was Macedonia and when it became North, had plenty of internal political conflicts, even very bad ones. But it never happened that the Macedonian opposition went to Brussels, to Berlin, to Rome, or who knows where else, and left no slander, no half-truths, and no negative energy uncollected, to throw it at every place where the door was opened to hear what representatives of another country were saying."
"Montenegro is a state with two major ethnic groups, besides Albanians and others, where Montenegrins and Serbs are, and their clashes have been severe at certain times. It doesn’t happen. It has never happened that they set off on the road after Berisha and 'tore their own country apart.' Because going and expressing considerations and a different opinion on how things are going, in an effort to make them better, to take Albania faster where it needs to go, is something else. But going and saying 'block Albania, don’t open the path for Albania. Albania is in the hands of crime. Albania is in the hands of the mafia. Albania is in the hands of a narco-state'… no other country has done this. What are these people? But they are who they are."
"We have nothing to do with them, but it is very important that we take care that all those who have given us support know the truths and this effort of contacts. We have no campaign to run today, but we must carry this effort of contacts to every organization to share information and share the truths with our people first," Rama said.
