Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech at the PS Assembly, announced that there will be changes in the upcoming regulatory act. He revealed that family members or parents who cannot work because they are caring for them will have their social insurance paid by the state. Additionally, they will also receive double compensation.

"We have not had the opportunity to increase wages because the economy did not allow it. Now this is happening, not only in the public sector but also in the private sector, where wages are increasing significantly. Similarly, with pensions, we have started an inseparable process of increasing pensions. In January, pensions increased by x, while next January will be double that figure, in 2028 triple, 2029 quadruple, and so on.

We have said it before, but we will now implement it, that guardians, parents, close family members of children with special abilitiesโ€”we have many children and people in need who are forced to care for a close relativeโ€”cannot be left without a pension tomorrow because of this, and the state will pay their social obligations. This will start from the upcoming regulatory act in June, as we have said and will implement, doubling the compensation for parents of children with limited abilities, for mothers first and foremost," said Rama, emphasizing that there were no opportunities to implement it earlier.
