The General Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, arrived this Friday at the Prime Minister's Office premises as part of coordinating the plan of measures for the protest announced by the opposition. The State Police has drafted a special plan of measures, which involves the deployment of multiple police forces at key points in the capital, especially near major state institutions.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that 1,500 police officers are engaged to ensure the smooth conduct of the protest, and metal barriers have also been set up. As seen from footage in the area, an ambulance and a water cannon vehicle have also been stationed.

Additionally, from 3:00 PM, the roads around the Prime Minister's Office will be blocked due to the protest. The axes where vehicle traffic is prohibited are: "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, "Free Ukraine" Street, "Pope John Paul II" Street, and "Ismail Qemali" Street. Since 11:45 PM on Thursday, movement has been blocked and vehicle parking prohibited on "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, from "Dajti Bridge" to "Ismail Qemali" Street.

This is the seventh national protest organized by the PD, which demands the resignation of the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama after his former deputy, Belinda Balluku, was implicated in corruption affairs, while the SPAK's request for her arrest was dismissed by the force of majority votes.
