Saimir Korreshi, a deputy of the Democratic Party of Albania, strongly criticized the healthcare system during a plenary session in Parliament, highlighting issues in the hospitals of Lushnja. In his speech, Korreshi sarcastically pointed out the absence of basic services such as mammography and ultrasound, emphasizing that this situation forces citizens to turn to other hospitals, mainly in Fier. According to him, this condition is creating an absurd situation where patients from Lushnja are compelled to seek services in other cities due to a lack of functional equipment. "Do you have the number to call the Minister of Health? She has indeed gone to Europe, but I want to tell her: you don't enter Europe without cotton and iodine, without mammography and ultrasound that don't work in Lushnja, because we are sending to Lushnja and all our Lushnja residents are turning into Fier residents," he said.
