An Argentine citizen, Gianfranco Gaspar Núñez, has been charged with sexual exploitation in digital environments by the Federal Court of Rosario, while authorities investigate whether there are other victims. The suspect offered money to women to produce intimate content videos, promising that the materials would not be published in Argentina. However, the videos were distributed on open platforms, without territorial restrictions and for financial gain. According to investigations, he recruited young, economically vulnerable girls, mostly up to 22 years old, from various regions of the country. After gaining their trust, he took them to a rented apartment, where, after signing a consent form, he recorded materials that were later published. The case was reported on September 12, 2024, by the prosecutor's office for human trafficking and exploitation, after one of the victims discovered that her video had been distributed and viewed in her hometown, Posadas. According to the charges, the single payment to the victims—and not benefits based on income from publication—constitutes a form of human trafficking adapted to the digital environment. So far, six victims have been identified, while investigations continue to uncover other possible cases. Officially, Gianfranco Gaspar Núñez faces eight charges of trafficking for exploitation purposes. If found guilty, he could face up to 12 years in prison, according to Argentine law.
