Police has uncovered the shooting of 35-year-old Akil Tahiri in Kurbin. Police have declared the perpetrator wanted, along with another person for failure to report a crime. Meanwhile, the hospital guard has been placed under investigation for not notifying the police when the young man arrived at the hospital wounded by a firearm. The dynamics of the incident, which occurred yesterday morning in the village of Gurëz, Kurbin, where a 35-year-old was left wounded by a firearm, have been revealed. The perpetrator has been identified and declared wanted. Additionally, another citizen has been declared wanted for failure to report a crime. The hospital's duty doctor has also been criminally processed for failing to notify the Police services. Following the information provided about the incident that occurred on 24.04.2026, after initial investigative actions, it has resulted that: Citizen A. T. was in conflict, suspected for trivial motives, with citizen F. C., alias F. S., who is suspected of wounding the 35-year-old. Meanwhile, citizen R. M., 26 years old, accompanied the 35-year-old to the hospital and then left, abandoning the vehicle he was traveling in. From the actions, it also appears that around 10:20, the 35-year-old arrived at the Laç hospital wounded in the leg by a firearm (pistol), and the duty doctor did not notify the Police services but sent him for treatment to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. At the conclusion of the initial investigative actions, the following citizens were declared wanted: F. C., alias F. S., 40 years old, resident in the village of Gorre, Kurbin, for the criminal offenses of "Intentional grievous bodily harm" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive devices, and ammunition"; R. M., 26 years old, resident in the same village, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime." Additionally, citizen A. I., 58 years old, resident in Kurbin, was criminally processed in a free state for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty," as he did not perform his functional duty. Work continues in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office for the full legal documentation of the case.
