Planned negotiations between Iran and the U.S. in Pakistan have been temporarily suspended due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon and the United States' failure to adhere to the ceasefire. Tasnim and other Iranian agencies close to the Revolutionary Guard have denied reports from some media outlets claiming that the Iranian delegation had already arrived in Islamabad for talks with the Americans. Al-Jazeera emphasizes that the Iranian delegation has not departed from Tehran for the planned negotiations this weekend, arguing that as long as Israeli attacks in Lebanon continue, negotiations cannot proceed. The continuation of the attacks has created uncertainty regarding the progress of the talks, and moreover, the American side has made changes to a previously considered feasible 10-point plan.
