The Democratic Party has sued Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari and the State Police Director following the April 17 protest held in the capital. During the protest, clashes occurred, and police reportedly used tear gas against protesters, injuring several, including deputies. Besides Lamallari, the lawsuit also targets citizens Elton Alushi, Artur Prifti, Altin Tabaku, Bajram Baรงi, Navjol Papuli, and Dashamir Bendo. According to the lawsuit, the officials are accused of acts such as "unlawful deprivation of liberty," "abuse of office," "arbitrary actions," "obstruction of gatherings," and "document forgery," among others.
