The Mayor of Lezhë, Pjerin Ndreu, has responded following the floods that the city of Lezhë faced today after rainfall.

Through a social media post, Ndreu wrote that the flooding situation in the city will soon receive a final solution, so that it does not happen again.

Ndreu stated that the Municipality is currently working on the arrangement of the white and black water systems in the city, an investment which he says will be completed within a few months.

Regarding the several-hour flood in Lezhë today!

During the day, the city faced temporary water-related issues as a result of the rainfall. Reactions have varied. Some citizens are rightfully concerned, some have tried to take advantage of the situation, while others have remained calm.

It is important to emphasize that this situation is moving towards a final resolution. Currently, work is underway on the arrangement of the white and black water systems in the city. Until the completion of this investment, in the coming months, whenever there is intensive rainfall, the risk of such situations remains high.

However, this is a transitional phase and not a problem that will remain unresolved. One of the achievements we are proud of is precisely this important project, carried out by the Municipality, with the support of the Rama government.

There is no room for panic, nor for excitement, nor for abusing the situation. Understanding and cooperation are required until the full completion of the investment.
