The Shkodër Police have concluded the coded operation "Rent Home 3," targeting a case of prostitution in two rented apartments in the city.
According to the official announcement, five citizens were arrested during the operation, including three Colombian nationals and two Albanian nationals. The foreign nationals are suspected of having rented an apartment in the "3 Heronjtë" neighborhood and adapting it for prostitution.
Additionally, two other citizens involved in prostitution activities were arrested, while another citizen has been criminally charged for the offense of "maintaining premises for prostitution."
During the inspection, police seized a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from the illegal activity, as well as six mobile phones believed to have been used to organize the activity.
The operation was carried out by Trafficking Investigation specialists in cooperation with the Shkodër Police Commissariat, based on information obtained through operational channels.
Investigations continue to fully document the case and identify other possible individuals involved, while the materials have been referred to the Shkodër Prosecutor's Office for further action.
