The Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, has reacted regarding the protest organized by the opposition. In a Facebook response, the minister praised the work of the state police for their restraint and immediate neutralization of the Molotov cocktails. "Congratulations to the State Police for their professional response, restraint, and immediate neutralization of the Molotov cocktails used as cannon fodder to burn the city, to destabilize the country, and to endanger the lives of uniformed personnel. Albania will not be held hostage by a minority that does not hesitate to use minors to burn and to hide their own failure. Between those who build the European future of the country and those who seek to burn it, the choice is already clear to all Albanians," he writes.
