He emphasized that the meeting, which was also attended by Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, "went very well." "The US will work with Lebanon to help it defend itself against Hezbollah," Trump wrote, underscoring American commitment to the region. He described the meeting as "very historic" and added that it was a "great honor" to participate. Trump also stated that he looks forward to hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the future. The US president also appeared before the media for the second time during the day from the Oval Office, accompanied by Vance and Rubio, as well as the US ambassadors to Lebanon and Israel, alongside the ambassadors of these countries to Washington.
