A new wave of deceptive messages is circulating on citizens' phones, raising concerns about personal data security.
Following the message "We are the Traffic Police," scammers have now changed their strategy. We recall that earlier, around 10,000 SMS messages were sent with the message "We are the post office," which led to the arrest of two Chinese citizens.
Journalist Anila Hoxha has obtained the message being sent to citizens:
"Your violation of using a mobile electronic device while driving a vehicle has been recorded. You can benefit from a 50% discount if you pay the fine within 15 days of the violation. Currently, you have less than 48 hours remaining for your discount. We recommend that you pay the fine as soon as possible. Late payment will result in the full fine. Late payment may result in additional fees for delay or legal actions.
