New details have been revealed regarding the cybercrime operation targeting 3 call centers in Tirana. Sources report that several individuals have been arrested, while more than 80 operators found inside the offices have been questioned. Police agents also discovered over 800,000 euros in the call centers' offices, and computers, USB drives, servers, cameras, etc., have been seized.
In total, police have raided 3 call centers, but during the operation, several other call center bases were uncovered and are under investigation. Mateo Hoxha and Tedi Agastra, two of the arrested individuals, were converting the sums of money into cryptocurrencies. It is suspected that thousands of European citizens have been defrauded, and the estimated damage caused by the activities of these call centers is believed to exceed 50 million euros.
