A major police operation in Tirana has concluded after three months of intensive investigations. The operation targeted several groups involved in the distribution of narcotics, identifying a total of 36 individuals who operated either individually or in organized groups.
For 15 of them, the security measure "arrest in prison" was executed, while 5 others were handcuffed earlier during the investigations. Meanwhile, 16 other individuals have been declared wanted, and efforts are underway to capture them.
As a result of the operation, police seized significant quantities of drugs and assets suspected to have been acquired through criminal activity. Specifically, over 60 kg of cannabis, approximately 2 kg of cocaine, 4 weapons (one pistol and three shotguns), and large sums of money: 121,000 euros, 60 million lekë, and 5,000 pounds were confiscated.
Tirana/After 3 months of investigations, the police operation codenamed "Final" was finalized by the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office. Several groups selling narcotics were targeted. 36 citizens, members of the groups, who individually or in groups sold various types of narcotics, were identified. The security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed for 15 group members. Meanwhile, work continues to capture the other 16. 5 citizens were handcuffed during the investigation period.
As part of the operation, 60 kg and 300 grams of Cannabis Sativa, 2 kg and 50 grams of Cocaine, 4 weapons (1 pistol and 3 shotguns), 121,000 euros, 60 million lekë, 5,000 pounds, mobile phones, and other illegal items were seized. As a result of the intensive investigative work carried out over 3 months by the Narcotics Investigation Section, under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, the operation codenamed "Final" was finalized to target several groups selling narcotics.
During the operation, the security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed for 15 citizens who engaged in this criminal activity, specifically: -A. Sh., 31 years old; I. B., 66 years old; V. A., 29 years old; Xh. Gj(B)., 26 years old; J. I., 28 years old; E. O., 47 years old; A. Ç., 42 years old; A. G., 41 years old; K. N., 26 years old; A. C., 21 years old; S. D., 32 years old; E. M., 29 years old; E. H., 25 years old; E. I., 30 years old; G. H., 37 years old.
During physical checks of these citizens and searches of their homes, during the investigation period and during the execution of security measures, the following were found and seized: 60 kg and 300 grams of suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, 2 kg and 50 grams of suspected narcotic substance Cocaine, 4 weapons (1 pistol and 3 shotguns), 121,000 euros, 60 million lekë, 5,000 pounds, 14 mobile phones, electronic scales, and 3 vehicles. During the investigation period, citizens: A. M., E. K., A. K., E. M., and I. C. were identified and arrested. The other 16 citizens identified by the investigations as part of these groups have been declared wanted. Work continues to capture them and to fully document this criminal activity.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
