A large anti-drug operation is being conducted by the Tirana Police, as it is learned that 30 arrest warrants have been issued by order of the prosecution. This involves targeting several criminal groups, long involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics in various areas of the capital. Investigations began several months ago by the Tirana Anti-Drug sector. Sources report that the starting point of this operation was previous strikes, where evidence implicating the suspects was obtained from the analysis of communications. During the investigations, the Anti-Drug unit also used proactive methods, including simulated purchases to document criminal activity. The number of arrested individuals is not yet known, nor have the quantities of narcotics seized during the action been made public.
