Socialist Party MP, Eron Braçe, in an interview for "Top Story" on Top Channel, spoke about his ambition to become the mayor of Tirana. He emphasized that everything should come through an open and honest process within the party. Regarding Ogerta Manastirliu, he said that if she emerges from the process, then she should represent the SP, adding that he does not deal with individuals. He called for a real and transparent process for selecting the candidate, unlike the previous one which, according to him, was merely formal. "If there is a free and open process, without pressure and without influence from the presidiums, absolutely. I did not leak the news from the meeting of unit assembly no. 1. I wanted it to remain within the party, because I don't think we should cause trauma to the SP at this moment, as there are enough problems. No one can believe that I am independent after 30 years as an SP MP. I am asking for a real process within the party, unlike that of September last year, which was just a notification. I am a socialist. If another candidate emerges from this process, of course it must be he/she who represents the SP, as is the case with Manastirliu," he said.
