A shocking story has come to light following the release of a new documentary, in which an American couple managed to infiltrate a closed polygamist sect and help uncover a vast network of child sexual abuse. Christine Marie, an expert in cult psychology, along with her husband Tolga Katas, settled in the isolated community in Arizona, gradually gaining the trust of members and integrating into their daily lives.

During this time, they managed to get close to leader Sam Bateman, who had declared himself a prophet and exercised complete control over his followers. He organized multiple marriages, including with underage girls, creating a structured system of abuse.

Unbeknownst to him, the couple collaborated with the FBI and documented every activity, gathering key evidence for the investigation. In some instances, the leader had even admitted to serious acts himself, including orders for sexual abuse of minors.

The operation culminated in 2022 with the arrest of Bateman and several of his associates, while in 2024 he was sentenced to 50 years in prison for serious crimes including kidnapping and sexual exploitation.
