A 35-year-old man has been arrested at the Morina border crossing after being internationally sought by North Macedonia for the production and sale of narcotics. As a result of entry/exit controls and verifications aimed at combating illegal activities at the border and stopping citizens declared as wanted who attempt to move illegally to evade criminal responsibility, the Morina Border Police services, in cooperation with the Kukรซs Border Police Directorate, apprehended at the entrance of the Republic of Albania and arrested for extradition purposes the Macedonian citizen: K. E., 35 years old, resident of Skopje. From the verifications carried out and information exchanged with Interpol Tirana, it resulted that this citizen was internationally sought, as the Public Prosecutor's Office of Skopje had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense "Unauthorized production and sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances." Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with counterparts in North Macedonia, is proceeding with the extradition procedures for the 35-year-old.
