The General Directorate of Prisons has announced changes in the chain of command at the prisons of Fushë-Krujë and Durrës. At the Fushë-Krujë IEVP, director Apostol Luca has been relieved of his duties. He has been replaced by Ervis Dedej, who has extensive experience in the prison system. Additionally, Chief Commissioner Fatjon Sadikaj, with over 20 years of experience in the Prison Police, has been appointed as Police Chief. Meanwhile, at the Durrës IEVP, Serjan Mazrreku, with experience in administration and the legal field, has been appointed as director, and Chief Commissioner Florian Masha, with a long career in the State Police, has been appointed as Police Chief. According to the Prisons, these moves aim to strengthen accountability, increase control, and establish higher standards in the functioning of penitentiary institutions, the Prisons announcement stated.
