Prime Minister Edi Rama has expressed his condolences for the passing of the renowned academician, Rexhep Qosja. In a Facebook post, the head of government wrote, "Farewell, good Albanian."
"FAREWELL, GOOD ALBANIAN! Brotherly condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of Professor Rexhep Qosja," wrote Edi Rama.
The academician passed away today and was buried the same day, with only his family members present. In accordance with the deceased's wishes, the family has stated that they will not organize any reception ceremonies nor participate in ceremonies organized by institutions.
