Yesterday, the court sentenced Naim Murseli and his accomplices to life imprisonment for the tragic murder of Liridona Ademaj.
Journalist Faton Mehmeti has revealed new details about this incident, disclosing that Naim Murseli decided to kill his wife not only for money but also because their relationship had deteriorated following Murseli's infidelity. The latter had an extramarital affair with a relative of theirs.
"Naim Murseli had cheated on Liridona with a relative known to both of them. Liridona was aware of this, and it caused a rift between them. For the sake of their minor children, they did not divorce, but they had conflicts because Liridona had not forgiven Naim. At the moment Naim became aware of the monetary benefit from Liridona's life insurance in Sweden, he planned the murder to remove Liridona from his life and to obtain the money, as he had a series of debts," he said.
